One of the ways I like to spend my free time, when I have any, is playing Role-Playing Games, or RPGs. I particularly like to play games that are based on historical time-periods, though I do play others. We usually have at least three games that we try to rotate weekly. I don't always make it to the games, but I enjoy them when I do. (Let's see - if it's the first Friday then it must be Amber. Second Saturday? Ars Magica...) Of course, I often have a piece of needlework in my hand while I play. Usually, I try to make my characters also embroidresses, so I can claim to be 'in character'.

My dear friend, Cheri "Jade" Arbuckle-Erwin, runs a Live Action Gaming and Publishing company (RealTime Productions). I sometimes attend her events. (Sometimes she even lets me help -- rather like Tom Sawyer and the whitewashing escapade!)

Check out some other sites:

  • Ars Magica - bits of our now-defunct campaign, and links to other Ars sites. Ars Magica is a fantasy game based on the real (i.e., historical) Middle Ages.
  • Castle Falkenstein - A link to my Castle Falkenstein page, and links to other sites. Castle Falkenstien is also a fantasy game, but this time based on Victorian adventure novels
  • RealTime Productions - As mentioned above, a link to my soul-sister's business site.
  • Jade's RPG Page - Her personal pages, devoted to RPGs, some historically-inspired, some not.
  • Quotables as collected by Cheri.
