This is the book I bound for my boyfriend this year. I also did the calligraphy. Click on any image to see a detailed photo.
Book Cover
The cover is bound in red tissue paper and stamped with a gold-embossed heart from Rubber Stampede. The tassel and binding are made from DMC embroidery floss. The calligraphy is done on a speckled ivory cardstock which was then layered onto the navy pages.

Love's Philosophy

by Percy Bysshe Shelly

The fountains mingle with the river,
And the rivers with the ocean;
The winds of heaven mix forever,
With sweet emotion;

Poem part 1

Nothing in the world is single,
All things by a law divine
In one another's being mingle~
Why not I with thine?

Poem part 2

Poem part 3

Let the mountains kiss high heaven,
And the waves clasp one another,
No sister flower would be forgiven
If it distained its brother.

Poem part 4

And the sunlight clasps the earth,
And the moonbeams kiss the sea~
What are all the kissings worth,
If thou kiss not me?
