Ummm… Romilly? What’s an Elmow?
Hopefully, El mows my lawn. It’s a bear.
No, really, an Elmow is an “Electronic Little Mid-Week on Wednesday” pattern. (Don’t blame me – the EO started calling it that and it stuck! Elmows are easy to pronounce, easy to stitch and remind me of a cute little red muppet.)
These are small designs, sometimes counted, sometimes freestyle, that I’ll post on the blog on Wednesdays. You can download the pattern instantly for 99 cents through PayPal.
But I Don’t Have PayPal!
You don’t actually need a PayPal account to buy an Elmow. I use PayPal as my merchant account. After you click Buy you can choose to pay with any credit card, and don’t have to join PayPal to do it.
OK, so how does this work?
I post the design and a description on Wednesday. Underneath the description will be a “Buy” button. Click that button. Enter your zip code, and click the PayPal button by the checkout. The PayPal checkout screen will appear and you can log into your account or click I don’t have a PayPal account to pay by credit card.
When you have checked out your browser will display a download page. (The link to this will also be emailed to you along with your receipt.) The download will expire after 5 download attempts, or 30 days, whichever comes first.
What’s this Chart Format?!
Elmows are distributed as a pdf file. If you don’t have it on your computer, you can get the free Adobe PDF Reader here. This creates a nice clean chart that you can print on your printer, or even work from the monitor, if you want.
Can I get a Hard Copy Chart?
Not at this time. Later I may decide to release groups of Elmows as chart packs. But right now that is a long way away, if it ever comes. By offering them digitally, I can charge much less, and you can start stitching immediately.
What can I do with the Designs?
Stitch them, make them into biscornus, ornaments, pincushions… they are perfect for the corner of a bulletin board, line them up in a border and stitch them on sheets or curtains or pillow cases…
The “Legalese”
Elmows are copyright Golden Circle Designs. Please share the link to them, but don’t sell or share the pattern itself.
Elmows have an “Angel Policy” If you handstitch the design, you may sell pieces with your work on it, provided you credit GoldenCircleDesigns.com as the design source. E-mail me for licensing information. I don’t bite. 🙂
